IMPACTS OF CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) PANDEMIC ON MEDICAL EDUCATION AT THE NORTHERN BORDER UNIVERSITY

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of our lives, including education, social relations, and psychological financial status. Objectives: study aims to assess the effects on academic performance, hygiene, stress, lifestyle, status among medical students at Northern Border University (NBU), Saudi Arabia. Methods:This cross-sectional was conducted NBU, Arar City. collected data socio-demographic characteristics, academic, psychological, impacts students. Results:The surveyed 332 NBU (response rate=86.46%). One-third reported deteriorating performance during pandemic. Negative were more likely males, older students, in clinical years, with poor IT skills, those who had not previously participated online learning. Over 56% negative their grades GPA due over 50% agreed that teachers technology-friendly, recorded lectures better than live lectures, technical issues interfered teaching.
